Septentrio Receiver Leads Resilient GNSS Innovation with Anti Jamming GNSS Technology

In the research of “BeiDou Satellite Type Bias in Hybrid Receivers and Its Impact on RTK Positioning”, the POLARx4 Septentrio receiver has demonstrated its technical advantages in a complex multi-satellite type environment. The paper points out that due to the differences in the signal structures of GEO, IGSO, and MEO satellites in the BeiDou system, different Resilient GNSS receiver manufacturers may generate phase biases (ISTB) when processing mixed satellite types. If such biases are not calibrated, it will lead to the failure of integer ambiguity resolution in RTK positioning, seriously affecting the high-precision positioning performance.

Research shows that Septentrio has achieved the unification of the NH code symbol standard (Sign Convention B) through firmware upgrade, successfully eliminating the phase deviation from other mainstream receivers (such as Javad). For example, in the B1 band, the ISTB of the Septentrio receiver and Javad equipment has decreased from 0.5 cycles before the upgrade to 0 cycles, demonstrating the forward-looking and flexibility of its hardware design. This ability enables Septentrio to maintain high accuracy even in multi-vendor mixed deployment scenarios, especially in fields such as land surveying equipment and autonomous driving that require cross-platform collaboration.

The Septentrio receiver fully supports the BeiDou B1/B2 frequency bands and is compatible with GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo signals. The experimental data in the paper show that its dual-frequency RTK GPS module success rate is as high as 100% (Table 8), and even in short-baseline scenarios (350 meters to 4.3 kilometers), the horizontal positioning accuracy is stable at 3-5 millimeters (Table 9). This is attributed to its innovative multipath suppression algorithm and adaptive signal tracking technology, which can maintain stable signal locking in complex environments.

The Mosaic-X5 Resilient GNSS board series integrates industry-leading Anti Jamming GNSS and anti-spoofing technologies. Through the broadband radio frequency front end and real-time spectrum monitoring, it can effectively suppress narrowband interference, continuous wave interference, and GNSS spoofing signals. For example, the Mosaic-H technology can detect and eliminate in-band interference of up to 40 dB, ensuring the positioning reliability of critical infrastructure and autonomous vehicles in complex electromagnetic environments.

For early models mentioned in the paper (such as POLARx4 and ASTERX3), Septentrio has launched more advanced AsteRx-U Resilient GNSS board and Mosaic-X5 Resilient GNSS board modules to further optimize performance:

1. AsteRx-U series

(1) Multi-frequency support: New support for frequency bands such as BeiDou B3 and Galileo E6, achieving centimeter-level RTK GPS module positioning and sub-nanosecond time synchronization.

(2) Low power consumption design: Power consumption reduced by 30%, suitable for drone receiver and wearable devices.

(3) Intelligent anti-spoofing algorithm: Identify abnormal signal patterns in real time through machine learning to block GPS spoofing attacks.

2. Mosaic-X5 module

(1) Full frequency band coverage: Supports L1/L2/L5 and all Resilient GNSS receiver bands, compatible with future satellite system expansions.

(2) High dynamic adaptability: Designed for aerospace, maintaining accuracy under 10g acceleration.

(3) On-chip inertial navigation fusion: Integrated IMU sensor enables continuous navigation in GNSS-denied environments.

Septentrio, with its hardware compatibility, multi-system integration, and Anti Jamming GNSS technology, continues to lead the high-precision Resilient GNSS receiver industry. Whether addressing phase calibration in academia or real-world challenges like GNSS jamming, Septentrio receiver products demonstrate technical leadership. In the future, with upgraded multi-band support and intelligent algorithms, Septentrio will empower autonomous driving, precision agriculture, and smart cities.
