Compact multi-band RTK GNSS receiver with Septentrio mosaic-X5
The Eview HB6 is a compact mosaic-X5 RTK receiver in a 45 g box. It tracks all GNSS constellations on multiple frequencies with 448 hardware channels and gives centimetre-level RTK positioning at up to 100 Hz with less than 10 ms latency. The HB6 is the single-antenna positioning version; if you also need heading, pitch or roll from two antennas, choose the HB6 Pro with Septentrio mosaic-H. Both are part of our mosaic-X5 box receivers.
All-constellation, multi-frequency tracking
The mosaic-X5 tracks GPS (L1C/A, L1C, L1P(Y), L2C, L2P, L5), GLONASS (including L3 CDMA), Galileo (E1, E5a, E5b, E5 AltBOC, E6), BeiDou (B1I, B1C, B2a, B2I, B2b, B3I), QZSS, NavIC and SBAS. Using every visible signal keeps the RTK fix stable under trees, near buildings and in other partly blocked sky views. Read what the mosaic-X5 module is and how it compares with other Septentrio engines.
AIM+ anti-jamming and OSNMA anti-spoofing
Septentrio AIM+ shows an interference indicator and spectrum view, and suppresses narrowband and wideband interference from radio links, motors and other on-board electronics. Galileo OSNMA authenticates satellite navigation messages to protect against spoofing. Learn more about anti-jamming GNSS receivers and OSNMA anti-spoofing.
GNSS+ technologies
LOCK+ keeps tracking stable under high-frequency vibration and fast movement. IONO+ protects RTK accuracy during ionospheric scintillation. APME+ reduces multipath near metal structures and buildings. RAIM+ monitors position integrity.
Easy integration and logging
Two UARTs (115200 bps to 4 Mbps) connect the HB6 to flight controllers and robot computers, and USB Type-C gives a direct link to a PC for setup and data. It accepts RTCM and CMR/CMR+ corrections, outputs NMEA 0183 and Septentrio SBF, and logs raw data to a microSD card of up to 32 GB for RINEX post-processing. It runs from 4.5 to 12 V and works from -40 °C to +85 °C. Firmware and manuals are on our firmware downloads page.
Applications
- UAVs and drones: light, fast RTK positioning for crop-spraying, mapping and inspection drones.
- Robots and AGVs: centimetre positioning with low latency for outdoor autonomous robots.
- Precision agriculture: guidance for plant-protection drones, tractors and field robots.
- Unmanned surface vessels: precise positioning for survey boats and autonomous workboats.
- Vehicles and logistics: lane-level positioning for driverless vehicles and intelligent logistics.
- Surveying and GIS: compact rover or base with raw data logging.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the HB6 and the HB6 Pro?
The HB6 uses the Septentrio mosaic-X5 with one antenna for RTK positioning, with the widest signal set (including L5, E5a, E6 and B2a). The HB6 Pro uses the Septentrio mosaic-H with two antennas and adds heading and pitch or roll: 0.15° heading at 1 m antenna spacing. Both share the same box, interfaces and RTK accuracy.
Does the HB6 work with ArduPilot and PX4?
Yes. The HB6 connects over UART and outputs standard NMEA and Septentrio SBF, which popular open-source autopilots support. See our ArduPilot GNSS guide.
Can the HB6 log raw data for post-processing?
Yes. It records raw measurements to a microSD card of up to 32 GB. Septentrio SBF files convert to RINEX for PPK and other post-processing software.
How does the HB6 compare with the HB56?
Both use the Septentrio mosaic-X5 with 100 Hz output and the same RTK accuracy. The HB6 is a 45 g box with USB Type-C and microSD; the HB56 has a screw-mount housing with a full-size SD card slot.
