Full-band GNSS antenna for vehicles, farm machines and UAVs
The Eview EV288 is a full-band GNSS antenna that covers every main signal of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, including GPS L5, Galileo E5a and E6, BeiDou B3 and L-band. It is built for tractors, plant-protection machines, harvesters, vehicles and high-precision UAVs, and mounts on a standard 5/8″-11 survey thread. It is part of our GNSS antenna range; to compare options, read how to choose a GNSS antenna.
Multi-band coverage
The EV288 receives GPS L1/L2/L5, GLONASS L1/L2/L3, Galileo E1/E5a/E5b/E6, BeiDou B1/B2/B3 and L-band. This full-band coverage matches the signal lists of all-frequency receivers, so you can use every tracked signal for fast, reliable RTK positioning, and keep the same antenna if you change receiver later. L-band is useful only with a receiver that supports L-band correction services.
Phase-centre stability and multipath rejection
Phase-centre error is ±3 mm and the element has 3.5 dBi maximum gain. Right-hand circular polarisation with an axial ratio of ≤3 dB helps reject reflected signals from cab roofs, implements and nearby structures. For a stable phase centre, mount the antenna upright on a rigid pole or roof bracket with a clear view of the sky.
LNA gain and noise
The LNA gives 33 ± 2 dB gain with a noise figure of ≤1.3 dB, ±2 dB passband ripple and VSWR ≤2.0. Strong out-of-band suppression reduces interference from cellular networks and radio modems on the vehicle. It draws ≤50 mA at DC 3.3–12 V through the coaxial cable.
Mechanical and environmental
The body is Φ43 mm and 107 mm long including the 5/8″-11 mounting thread, with a 650 mm cable ending in an SMA (female) connector. The antenna is rated IP67 and works from −40 °C to +85 °C. It is tested for vibration, impact, a 3 m free-fall drop and 72 h salt spray (GB/T 2423 series), which suits farm machinery and outdoor vehicles.
Compatibility with Eview receivers
The EV288 suits all-frequency Eview receivers such as the HB6 and the HB10. Use two EV288 antennas on a rigid baseline with a dual-antenna receiver for heading on tractors and vehicles. For a magnetic roof mount, see the EV226.
Applications
- Precision agriculture: auto-steering for tractors, sprayers, cultivators and harvesters.
- Construction and mining: machine guidance on vehicles exposed to vibration and dust.
- UAVs and drones: full-band reception for high-precision drones.
- Vehicles and logistics: lane-level positioning for intelligent logistics vehicles.
- Surveying and GIS: pole-mounted rover or base antenna on a 5/8″ thread.
- Marine: IP67 antenna for workboats and small vessels.
Frequently asked questions
Is the EV288 a good RTK antenna for agricultural machines?
Yes. It tracks every band a modern RTK receiver uses, including L5, E6 and L-band, and its rugged IP67 housing suits tractors, machines and vehicles.
Does the EV288 support GPS L5 and Galileo E6?
Yes. It covers GPS L1/L2/L5, GLONASS L1/L2/L3, Galileo E1/E5a/E5b/E6, BeiDou B1/B2/B3 and L-band.
How is the EV288 mounted?
It has a standard 5/8″-11 thread, so it fits survey poles, tripod adapters and machine brackets. A 650 mm cable with an SMA (female) connector links it to the receiver.
Is the EV288 suitable for tractors and farm machines?
Yes. It is IP67, works from −40 °C to +85 °C and is tested for vibration, impact and salt spray. See our guide to auto-steer tractor RTK retrofits.
Which antenna should I choose for a drone: EV288 or EV220?
The EV288 gives full-band coverage including L5. The EV220 is smaller and lighter, with a flange mount for drone arms.
